Bright Horizon Preparatory School

Bright Horizon Preparatory School Ltd. is a private school in St. Lucia founded by Jonathan and Dawn Roberts in 2007. It provides a unique individualized service based on personalized evaluation of each student and his or her specific strengths and weaknesses. This approach takes into account individual differences such as learning styles—visual, auditory and tactile. Small group instruction, individualized attention and interactive learning are part of the school environment at Bright Horizon Preparatory School. We provide counseling services for all of our students. Bright Horizon Preparatory School is unique as it also takes in students with learning disabilities and allows them to learn in a mainstream environment.

The Bright Horizon Preparatory School program employs a three-part approach to produce well-rounded students.

  • Scholarship: Students are required to maintain a “B” average in each subject area and are required to write at least five Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) subject exams at the end of their senior year. In addition to the CXC, students are required to write the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) during their last semester at the School. This satisfies the matriculation requirement for those students who plan to attend a college or university in the USA.
  • Sports: Students must also specialize in tennis, golf, swimming, cricket, soccer, sailing, or squash. They will practice for 1 ½ hours three days per week during school hours under the tutelage of the top professionals in St. Lucia.
  • Service: We require our students to complete their development by learning to give back to their community. They must fulfill 120 hours of community service in order to graduate.

Our motto is “Make the sky your limit.”
